BOM is delighted to have secured funding from All Age Autism for a new programme, Virtually.Me. Designed to empower autistic KS3 learners, the digital skills programme will follow the theme of identity and the students will be encouraged to express themselves and their lived experiences through immersive technology.
The pupils will create digital performances and visual art, bridging the gap between virtual design and reality. From 3D character design and animation to virtual production and augmented reality, the programme will equip learners with new digital skills using accessible software. Virtually.Me will allow the students to immerse themselves in their designs and bring digital work to life through the following activities:
- 3D character design
- Animation
- Generative AI
- Virtual Production and Motion Capture
- Augmented Reality
- Curating
We’re delighted that Adanna Davis-Waite and Ebenezer Kazadi from our Learning and Engagement team will be leading these sessions. They will be working with three new school groups in February and we’re looking forward to seeing what the pupils create during these sessions. Keep your eyes on our socials as we’ll be documenting their progress…
