Learning & Inclusion
Our immersive arts learning programmes engage underserved children, young people and adults through accessible, high quality formal and informal education, helping people overcome barriers to develop successful careers in the creative industries.

Children & Young People
4 – 18 Years. Our schools programmes are empowering young Black and SEND learners across Birmingham and beyond. We also run monthly creative coding workshops, summer camps and work experiences.

Adult Learning
19+ Years. We run free Immersive Arts Bootcamps for people who want to learn the skills to develop immersive experiences. Priority is given to people from underserved backgrounds, who face barriers to entering the industry.

Propeller
Propeller is a mentoring and soft skills support programme for neurodivergent adults engaging with our programmes. We also support practitioners through residencies as they develop immersive projects.

Venue Hire
Are you looking for a venue for an event?
Birmingham Open Media’s unique home is available for hire. A converted 1960’s Post Office in the centre of England, with excellent transport links. Situated right next to New Street Station, BOM is accessible, Neurodivergent Friendly and offers unusual spaces for all sorts of functions, including conferences, parties, meetings and workshops.
BOM is fully licenced and can accommodate a bar and catering. We also offer a lunch menu, but you are welcome to bring your own catering ,if you prefer. Teas, filter coffee and soft drinks are put out at no extra cost.
We can supply a barista to make you amazing lattes and macchiatos and OTT hot chocolates! *
We have gender neutral and disabled toilets as well as baby changing/feeding facilities. BOM is designed to be Neurodivergent Friendly, with low lighting and quiet spaces available for those who need them. There is also a ramp in the main entrance and a lift accessing all floors and wifi in all rooms.
