The first Immersive Arts Meet Up of 2024 arrives next month! Join us for an evening of immersive arts and meet our vibrant community. If it’s your first time joining us, we’re a friendly bunch and we’re always excited to meet new people and make new connections. We’re super inclusive too and we have some quiet spaces for our neurodivergent friends.

A date for your diary

The Immersive Arts Meet Up takes place at BOM on Tuesday 20th February from 6pm – 8pm. We’re well located right by Birmingham New Street which makes us very accessible if you’re travelling via public transport. There’s more, we provide delicious samosas and drinks throughout the evening. A meet-up must!

A workshop with artist, Ninon Ardisson

Not only will you be catching up with our wonderful immersive arts community but we’ll be joined by artist and academic, Ninon Ardisson. With a background in immersive arts, her recent work is all about working with natural materials and immersive world-building. Her material of choice? Slime Mould!

Ninon’s experiments with slime mould and digital media are a fascinating combination and have resulted in the creation of model environments. Ninon will be discussing how the study of patterns and phenomena in nature and world-building experiences can help us to devise more inclusive, intuitive and computational practices.

Join us!

So what are you waiting for? Gather your immersive arts enthusiasts and join us on Tuesday 20th February for an evening at BOM. Tickets are free, but please register your place in advance. See you there!
