Overview

Working with Oxygen Arts and Libraries Connected, we completed a project which looked to bring their new touring exhibition, ‘Into the Light: Pioneers of Black British Ballet’. The exhibition traces the history of Black British ballet frm the 1940s to the present day.

Key Objectives

  • Create a 3D model of the exhibition space
  • Capture a dance performance using motion capture
  • Incorporate likeness
  • Easy to use and navigate

The Approach

  • Using motion capture software, green screen and the Rokoko suit to capture dance performance.
  • Depth camera capture
  • 3D Facial capture using Einscan
  • 3D Modelling on Blender
  • Created on Unity

The Results

  • A virtual exhibition space with a motion-capture ballet performance
  • Touring exhibition from October 2024 – November 2025
