BOM’s building is a pioneering experiment in inclusive design. Following a £180,000 refurbishment in October 2018, our ground and mezzanine floors boast a bespoke new lighting system and sound design across the spaces, as well as brand new heating and air conditioning to ensure the perfect environment for events and catering for a range of access needs.

All floors are accessible with a ramped entrance and platform lift providing wheelchair access to the mezzanine and basement floors too. (Please note: large scooters may not fit into our lift).

From workshops, launch parties and networking events and with our own fully licensed cafe bar with on-site catering, we can also provide high end technical support for events. And if that’s not enough, we’re less than one minute’s walk from Birmingham New Street Station!

Maximum capacity: 200 standing, 80 seated

Our Ground Floor spaces include the Main Gallery (83m2) with ramped entrance and through access to a fully licensed cafe bar (50m2) with on-site catering and accessible toilets. A sliding door between the gallery and cafe can be left open or closed for events.

Our Mezzanine Gallery (25m2) overlooks the main gallery. This is a perfect space for smaller workshops, or an add on to larger events in the Main Gallery.

BOM Café

Available for private events at evening time and Sundays. Open 9am- 5pm Monday to Friday and 12pm-5pm Saturday for people to drop in for a meeting or pre-book and reserve a table.

Our basement has two, large studios which are perfect for performance-style events. The Main Basement space is 80m2. The smaller Triangle Studio is 52m2.

Main Basement Studio

The Basement is a huge underground room suitable for most types of events, layout can be changed to suit needs and mood. The space can also be split if you need a more intimate setting. Round tables for a Cabaret Style, Trestle tables for Classroom layout, Lecture Theatre style seating or Open Plan, you choose what is best for you event.

The quirky one! Spiral staircase, bean bags and coloured lights. Suitable for up to 40 seated people or a breakout area from the Basement suitable for all kinds of events.
